Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) is dedicated to delivering high-quality services to their communities, with a particular emphasis on enhancing the well-being of theirresidents, especially the older population. Since 2008, Central Desert Regional Council has been supporting its 4,200 residents across 12 communities over an expansive 262,000km² area.

Central Desert Regional Council’s aged care services are designed to provide site-specific, culturally sensitive activities and care tailored to meet the unique needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote communities. They are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where their community members can thrive. A key focus of their services is to enable clients to enjoy time on Country whenever possible, honoring their cultural connection to the land.

They provide a range of services across various locations, including:

  • Anmatjere (Ti Tree)
  • Atitjere
  • Engawala
  • Lajamanu
  • Laramba
  • Nyirripi
  • Willowra
  • Yuelamu

The services at each of these locations vary and may include meals, laundry, personal care, transport, social support, and social activities, among others.
